Four Themes of Biblical America

Paul Brown: I was standing next to Sam Donaldson who was sticking a mic into a famous doctor, a male doctor's hand, and I whispered to Sam, I said, "we asked the president to pardon the bombers." Well, I'm tellin' ya, within 3 seconds everybody who was getting all the attention of the cameras was physically thrown out of the way by the press itself and we got every headline the following weeks. And all we did, quite frankly, and I did ask President Reagan to pardon the bombers, I said, y'know, some of them may be, I'm sure they're a couple of what I would call real whackos for life, that's my special group of people that I know are whackos for life, well these are true whackos, they belong over there. So some shouldn't maybe be let loose, but most of them are good people in the eyes of the law had made a mistake. And I asked him on a case-by-case basis to consider a pardon for each one of them. And I didn't think there was anything wrong with that. They sure did after the press got hold of it. But that's how you manipulate 'em.

James Dobson: Judy that is absolutely beautiful, it just takes my breath away. I saw it just before you presented it here, and that is just beautiful, and especially it's meaningful to me because it comes from the American Life League and what you all stand for. We have been honored here at Focus on the Family to stand shoulder to shoulder with you all in this struggle.

Frank Schaeffer: ...Historical change is usually brought about by a handful, a dedicated minority, that put to shame the apathetic majority and bring to them a new consciousness or awareness that they too must take a stand in some way. And without the fringe of the envelope if you like being constantly pushed out by the activist minority in any political movement, the center, the large listless mass in the middle will never be roused to any sort of action even on its own level.

Let us call Clinton and the Democratic party what they are. They are the spearhead of the new neo-Nazi eugenic movement.

These people are not civilized opponents with whom one can bandy words and arguments. These people for all their smiles and middle-class goodwill have about them the air and the stench of the concentration camp, the whip, the bullet in the nape of the neck, the curette, the saline solution, the oily smoke of human remains as it fouls our air.

These people, these people are indeed our opponents. But they should be to us opponents in the same way that in Nazi Germany Hitler, Goebbels, Goering, Eichmann and company were opponents to Winston Churchill. That is the perspective on those who use death as a solution to social problems. They are beyond the pale. We are not even discussing here Christian ethics, we are not discussing what the bible says or doesn't say, we are not discussing even modern biology and technology, we are discussing something very simple and very basic. And that is that very clear line that is drawn between all civilizations and peoples, that demarcates, that divide between barbarism and civility.
